Swarna Mandapa was never designed as a hotel or a collection of guest rooms.

It was created as a home—a place where every space connects naturally with the next, encouraging conversation, relaxation and the simple pleasure of spending time together. From the moment you enter, the residence invites you to slow down. Natural stone, handcrafted details and open living areas create an atmosphere that feels both grand and welcoming. Here, luxury is measured not by excess, but by comfort, craftsmanship and the freedom to enjoy the home entirely at your own pace.

Living Space

The heart of the residence is the magnificent Living Space. With its soaring ceilings, hand-carved stonework and elegant proportions, it creates an immediate sense of arrival. During the day, natural light pours through the expansive bi-fold doors, while in the evening the space transforms into a warm and inviting setting for conversation, dining or quiet reflection.

Every detail has been carefully considered, allowing the architecture itself to become the focal point.

Living Without Boundaries

Open the bi-fold doors and the distinction between indoors and outdoors gently disappears. The Living Space flows naturally into the gardens, swimming pool and outdoor entertaining areas, allowing every part of the residence to feel connected.

Whether enjoying breakfast with the morning breeze, sharing an afternoon by the pool or gathering for dinner beneath the stars, each space has been designed to bring people together.

THE KITCHEN

The kitchen reflects the philosophy of the entire residence. Centred around a generous Italian marble island, it is a place where meals become shared experiences rather than daily routines.

Whether preparing a simple breakfast, enjoying local produce or cooking together with family and friends, the kitchen remains an inviting space at the centre of the home. Beautifully equipped and thoughtfully designed, it combines practicality with timeless elegance

Entertainment Area

Just beyond the Living Space lies the outdoor entertaining area. Sheltered yet open to the tropical gardens, it provides a relaxed setting for long lunches, evening drinks or simply enjoying Bali’s warm climate throughout the day.

It is a place where time seems to slow down.

THE BALINESE BALE

There is another part of the original property that was never going to be lost.
The Balinese bale.
A bale is a traditional open-sided pavilion found throughout Bali. It is not simply an architectural feature. Traditionally, it is a place where life happens — somewhere to sit, gather, talk, rest and spend time together.
The original bale at Swarna Mandapa stood at ground level.
During the transformation of the property, it was carefully dismantled piece by piece and preserved.
But rather than simply rebuilding it where it had been, I wanted to give it a new purpose within the home.
It was reconstructed high above the gardens, overlooking the mature trees and natural greenery running along the river.

From the Swarna Suite, three floating steps lead upward to a pair of hand-carved doors.
Open them and the room flows directly into the bale.
Its location may have changed.Its purpose really hasn't.
Morning coffee.
A quiet place to read.Somewhere for a conversation.
Or somewhere to sit and listen to Bali happening around you.
In many ways, the bale represents the philosophy behind the entire transformation of Swarna Mandapa.
Preserve something authentic. Respect what it was created for. Then find a way for it to continue living.
While you're here, spend some time in it.
You may discover that doing absolutely nothing there is one of its greatest pleasures.
Its position changed. Its purpose did not.

THE POOL

The swimming pool provides a peaceful focal point for the residence. Surrounded by tropical gardens and framed by the architecture of the home, it offers a place to begin the day with a quiet swim, cool off after exploring Uluwatu or simply relax beneath the Bali sunshine. As evening approaches, subtle lighting transforms the pool into another beautiful gathering place.

The Gardens

The gardens soften every transition throughout the residence.

Stone pathways, tropical planting and carefully framed views create moments of calm wherever you walk.

Rather than separating the different spaces, the gardens gently connect them, allowing nature to become part of the experience of living at Swarna Mandapa.
